Hey my homies, I see the blogging bug spreading all over the campus, and i really didn't see the point behind it.. but somehow i find myself behind this screen writing my first blog.. I'm afraid this one's a bit negative but I cant really help it with the kind of freshers i just experienced. So what exactly went wrong? I'll start off with the food, cuz thats what most of us came for anyways..
The menu for the freshers was supposed to be really good with a pizza being the main course.
For 150 bucks, we got half of what the menu had to offer.. with a few missing the goddamn main course (which included myself btw).... Most of the "so called food committee" incharges believed their job at hand was to eat the food themselves rather than distribute it.. Almost all final years went back with empty stomachs.. The ice creams were the only item in excess.. but with the organizers running short of spoons, we had no way to consume them.. futile attempts were made with straws as an alternative...
The music selection was worse than pathetic... The volume wasn't loud enough, and it failed to cover up the booing the second years initiated at regular intervals... The same old lame games were back on display... The participants lacked any enthusiasm and the combined effect made the whole show a goddamn bore.. The frequent power cuts didn't exactly help.. Many left the event halfway and the show ended prematurely with the event turning out to be a fiasco..
I pity Paaji as he tried his best to make the event a success, but the other organizers let him down comprehensively.
Long gone are those days of fun and frolic in college. You are deemed an engineer or at the least a Bachelor of Technology. Hold on, some of you are married too :) TOday, its all about ambitions, aspirations and achievements! What do you have to share, Tricalite ?
